Dear Gio,
ReplyDeleteYou've done a good job of giving us a pretty clear picture of Shane. He seems like he has many sides--he's confident in some areas of his life (work), and frightened of other areas (like his family). I am curious about the death of his parents and wonder how big of a role this will play in the podcast script (if any). I also wonder if there was a time in his life when he was close to his brother, and if there is any part of him that wishes it could be like that again. What does he admire about his brother? Are there things that his brother has accomplished that he envies or is proud of? Does Shane have anyone close to him (a friend, someone he's dating) who knows about his brother? You can play with this temper he has too--figure out what his triggers are for getting angry. What is he most sensitive about? What makes him insecure? He thinks that he's humble--is that true, because he also seems preoccupied with making money. How truthful is he with himself? It's good that you've created a character with contradictions--that internal tension that he carries could play a big part in how he reacts to his brother, and how he might be willing to confront some of the demons that he keeps pushing down.
